The ABC-XYZ is a high end adjustable PCB holding fixture with so much utility for the technician! Your PCB glides within the X-Axis, dove-tailed PCB tracks on extra-smooth, gliding ESD-safe Teflon® bushings in this multi-faceted PCB fixture.

The ABC-XYZ has up to 12 knobs for adjustments and locking in the X, Y and Z axis, two PCB holding tracks with precision machined grooves, 4 thermally-insulated thumb screws, 4 dual-purposed, tightening clamps for PCB's with irregular sides or edge connectors, a heavy-duty framework providing superb stability and durability, 4 substantial support posts with spring-activated Z-Axis plus large non-skid rubber feet.

The ABC-XYZ helps eliminate unwanted PCB movement once a chip or  component has been positioned, such as surface mount devices and ball grid arrays packages like the QFP, PLCC, BGA, SOIC, QFN, CSP and more including small ceramic capacitors and resistors. The ABC-XYZ is solid and machined to precision tolerances. Additionally, it accommodates large and small PCB's and all three axis are easily adjustable and can be locked securely into the desired position.

The ABC-XYZ Adjustable Board Cradle secures and positions your PCB Assembly in either the X, Y or Z Axis. It also can handle custom PCB fixtures commonly used with game video console PCB's for bracing the PCB to prevent flexing.

Gripping Clamps bring great utility for they are movable on the tracks and can be tightened down at different points where needed. This helps a lot when PCB's have components on the edge like connectors, capacitors, resistors and more. The ABC-XYZ resolves that problem.

ZeroFlex: Repairing Video Game Consoles, like the XBox or PlayStation® or Wii™ can be a challenge to prevent thermal flexing of the PCB. Here's the remedy: ABC-XYZ Adjustable Board Cradle allows insertion of a PCB "bracing fixture" to secure it firmly within the brace. The PCB is first secured inside the brace fixture. Both are then secured into the ABC-XYZ. This gives a technician the ZeroFlex advantage over others who work with other "machines". And because the Z axis of the ABC-XYZ is adjustable,  PCB's can be lowered down to the original height making the PCB co-relate to the original temp setting of the pre-heater below it!


Flat, Table Top Feature Option: It is important to note that by simply removing the top four knobs, the ABC-XYZ becomes like all Zephyrtronics PCB holders by becoming a flat, table-top design permitting even much larger military and satellite boards to sit directly on top of the frame for either assembly, preheating, soldering, or de-soldering tasks. In fact, the table top frame is proven far superior to the cantilevered-type fixtures which can stress the substrate causing fissures and weakening solder joints. The ABC Cradles support the PCB preventing stresses to the substrates, the vias, the laminations, and to the solder joints as well
